Celebration of the IB Program at Atlantic Community High School As an active member of the Rho Kappa Social Studies Honors Society at Atlantic Community High School, I had the privilege of organizing a remarkable celebration to honor the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at our school. Alongside fellow members, we hosted a memorable event that showcased the achievements and impact of the IB program on our students' academic journeys. The success of this celebration relied heavily on effective communication and meticulous preparation. As one of the hosts, I utilized my strong communication skills to coordinate with various stakeholders, including teachers, administrators, and IB students, to ensure a seamless and engaging event. I meticulously crafted invitations, coordinated schedules, and disseminated relevant information to all participants, leaving no room for confusion. Attention to detail was paramount throughout the planning process. From curating captivating displays of student work to organizing engaging presentations, we focused on highlighting the IB program's rigorous curriculum, interdisciplinary approach, and its impact on fostering critical thinking and global perspectives among students. Our dedication to detail and excellence allowed attendees to fully appreciate the program's significance. Analytical thinking played a crucial role in developing the event's structure. We strategically designed a schedule that allowed for a balance of speeches, student testimonials, and interactive activities to engage guests and showcase the diversity of talents within the IB program. By analyzing the strengths and unique aspects of the program, we created a comprehensive program that captured the essence of the IB experience at our school. Patience was key throughout the entire process. From coordinating logistics to addressing last-minute changes, we navigated unforeseen challenges with composure and adaptability. Our ability to remain patient and composed ensured a successful event, leaving a lasting impression on attendees. The celebration of the IB program at Atlantic Community High School was a testament to our dedication, collaboration, and commitment to excellence. Through effective communication, meticulous preparation, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and unwavering patience, we created a memorable event that celebrated the achievements of our IB students and underscored the importance of the program in fostering well-rounded individuals ready to make a positive impact in the world. #work #experience #community #community #collaboration #collaboration #communication #logistics #students #diversity #school #event #planning #society #teachers #success

Keynote Speaker | Global Education Ambassador | Social Impact Thought Leader | Podcast Host | Best Selling Author| I opened a school to close a prison!
Education is global 🌎 there is so much to learn. The Gymnasium am Müesterplatz is a K-12 school that located in Basel, Switzerland, where Dr. Eugen Krieger, is the principal of the secondary school. As part of Teach With Love our cohort had the opportunity of touring the school and engaging in a Q&A with the school leader. ✳️ The school has been upgraded each year to offer spaces that are innovative and foster collaboration. ✳️Students are tracked to determine if they are best suited for college or a trade program that includes paid apprenticeships throughout high school. ✳️Children are not required to begin school until 6 years old and when they enter the school system the focus is not academics, but socialization, sustainability, and home economics. ✳️College is FREE, so there is no burden on the students or their families. ✳️Those who enter the pathway of trade school can still go to college, whenever they are ready. ✳️Standardized tests are not administer, teachers create their own exams in all scrolls. ✳️ Top grades are not mandatory, nor exams like the ACT or SAT to apply to universities. 🔺Mental health is a concern, students have been provided with support for suicidal ideations, eating disorders, and drug use. 🔺Managing parents, who want their children to go to college, even if they don’t have an interest. 🔺 Teachers salaries are higher, but the cost of living is very expensive. While no school system is perfect, the ways in which students are cared for and teachers are given autonomy is impressive. Unless we travel or have a connection to people who can share their experiences in other counties in education, we would never know what is happening in classrooms beyond the US. Find out more about the upcoming trips on for 2024 and 2025. I’ll be co-leading a mini-leadership summit in Mexico City, join me and let’s build community and passport stamp together.
