Creative Computing seeks to provide all students in grades 4-8, including those who identify as a girl and/or as Black, Latinx, or Native American access to new computer science concepts.

Join Rise Up 4 CS+ on Saturdays from 11AM-12PM to prepare for next spring's AP computer science exams! This program is open to all high school students, including those who identify as female or non-binary, who are enrolled in AP CSA or AP CSP.

We accept new students on a rolling basis.

We are excited to offer High School Computing Workshops to students in grades 9-12. on Wednesdays from 4-5PM 

This fall we're providing a dynamic virtual experience for all high school students while engaging in discussions, exercises, and activities in real-world situations. We will also be hosting 2 workshops in October at the University of Maryland's Iribe Center.

NCWIT Aspirations in Computing (AiC) offers awards that honor aspirations, abilities, technical accomplishments, and influential guidance.

Applications for both the Aspirations in Computing Educator Award and the Aspirations in Computing Award for high school women, genderqueer, and non-binary students open September 1st.

The Prodigy Program provides middle and high school youth opportunities to learn Web Development, Game Development, Python, Data Science, and CyberSecurity after-school while working on projects with industry professionals that benefit our city and community.

On October 1-2, NASA is inviting coders, entrepreneurs, students, scientists, designers, storytellers, makers, builders, artists, and technologists to come together in a global hackathon. Over two days, participants from around the world will create in-person and virtual teams to solve challenges using NASA’s open-source data

No coding experience required. Participants of all backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to join.

Registration for Technica 2022, the world’s largest hackathon for underrepresented genders, is open! This year, Technica will be held October 15-16th in The Hotel at UMD.

All female, non-binary, trans, and other individuals who identify as an underrepresented gender are invited! 

Come to network with our 20 corporate sponsors (including Bloomberg and Bank of America), learn via workshops and tech talks, get inspired by keynote speakers, have fun at mini-events, earn prizes by working on a project, and get swag!

Technica is a celebration of all underrepresented folks in STEM and is completely free to attend! No coding experience required.
