Creative Computing provides all students in grades 4-8, including those who identify as a girl and/or as Black, Latinx, or Native American, access to new computer science concepts.

Black History Month Activities

Take the virtual Black History Tour of the University of Maryland - College Park. This tour begins with the founding of the state of Maryland, follows the legal battle to desegregate the campus, and recognizes the first Black students to attend UMD.

Learn about Black Lives Matter with Minecraft Education Edition.

Through these lessons, children will learn about important figures in the BLM movement as well as the racial injustices that impact Black people and communities, and develop an understanding of how to create positive change.
