Maryland Center for Women in Computing

Happy Fall Semester from the Maryland Center for Women in Computing!

The Maryland Center for Women in Computing (MCWIC) is a great resource for you during your time as a woman in computing.  We wanted to share a few updates with you as the Fall semester starts!

MCWIC was created in 2014 to support women studying computing at UMD and to recruit new women into the major. In Spring 2019, MCWIC grew to the Iribe Initiative for Inclusion and Diversity and Computing to expand this effort to all underrepresented populations in computing.

We encourage you to stop by and check out the DICE (Diversity and Inclusion in Computing Education) Lounge anytime you need a break. The lounge is located in the Brendan Iribe Center for Computer Science and Engineering, Room 1104, and is open Monday through Friday 9am - 8pm.

We wish you the best for the Fall!
