Tutors offer support on general concepts, practice problems, and theories in the computer science intro classes. Tutors do not offer support on specific project or homework questions.

Guided Study Sessions are group tutoring opportunities for each class. They are held twice a week for 1 hour in IRB 1104 (off the first floor elevators). GSS times will be posted soon.

Girls Who Code UMD TA Application
Do you love comp sci? Do you love teaching? Well this is for you! Girls Who Code is a national nonprofit working to close the gender gap in technology. The club at UMD holds free, weekly programming classes for middle school and high school girls!
TA requirements and responsibilities:
- Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related major or minor
- Attend club meetings (Every Sunday from 1-3 PM, September 8 - November 10)
- Attend all organizational meetings (1or 2 per semester)
- Be able to walk around and answer questions about Python or JavaScript (Prior experience not required, but preferred)
- Planning and developing the club as a whole
