Girl Scouts Workshops

Join the Girl Scouts National Capital and the Maryland Center for Women in Computing in partnership as we host robotics workshops and offer Girl Scouts the chance to earn some of the new GS Badges! Girls will be introduced to coding and robotics through the use of Lego Mindstorms.

Girls will learn how to use a programming language to make the Lego Mindstorms robots move and work collaboratively with other girls to code their robots to perform a designated task. Juniors will also participate in additional cybersecurity activities.

Girls will work on the new Programming Robotics badge and complete steps 2-5 using the robots.  No prior robotics experience is required to have fun at this workshop.  Note: girls will not keep the robots after this session.
