Summer Updates & Resources

Dear Students,

We hope everyone is enjoying their Summer and staying safe! Over the past several weeks, the University has been engaged in an extensive and collaborative effort to develop a plan for the phased reopening for Fall semester 2020. As we continue to get more information on the framework and plans for the phased re-opening, we will make sure to keep everyone updated. In the meantime, please make sure to stay up to date on the UMD COVID-19 Updates and Resources

Right now, we are planning for most of our engagement with I4C and MCWIC to be virtual. If you have ideas for virtual engagement, please reach out to us.

To our black student community, we stand together with you and our diverse communities who are in pain due to the violence in our country. If you have ideas for racial justice in the CS community,  questions, concerns, or just need to talk to someone, we are here to help, listen, and create a safe and healing space for conversation.  Stay tuned for more information on how to join the conversation.

We are continuing to compile a list of resources to support students virtually: https://go.umd.edu/CSonline. This list will be updated frequently as we learn of new opportunities and resources. We will also share updates in the I4C Piazza group

If you have any additional ideas or if you need any additional support, please email inclusion@cs.umd.edu

BRAID Resume Database

Students from our department have been given access to an exclusive resume database due to our involvement in an initiative known as BRAID (Building, Recruiting, and Inclusion for Diversity). The database will include internship and job opportunities from companies that support BRAID, like Intel, Microsoft, and Qualcomm. Creating an account is easy and free – contact inclusion@cs.umd.edu for access!
