Radhika Bhatt is a Front End Web Developer and UX designer with the Department of Commerce Data Service. In the past, she worked separately as a graphic designer and a developer, but her love for both is what led her to UX design. She holds a degree in Media Arts & Design from James Madison University, has completed General Assembly’s User Experience Design part-time course and Design Thinking DC’s Summer of Design program. She is passionate about using human-centered design and community engagement to solve social and contemporary issues, and loves interacting with people to hear their experiences and perspectives. She is a recipient of the 2016 DCFemTech Powerful Female Designer Award, and in July, she planned and moderated an all-female panel discussion on Diversity & Inclusion Around Open Data at the White House, as part of the White House Open Data User Engagement Series. Radhika is an advocate for increasing the number of women and people of color in tech, and strives to create and maintain inclusive spaces wherever she goes.
