Stephanie Rodriguez is currently an AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow in the Directorate for Computer & Information Science & Engineering (CISE) at the National Science Foundation. Stephanie received her B.S. in Biology from Stanford University and Ph.D. in Immunology from Washington University St. Louis. While receiving her Ph.D., she remained involved in her community as Director of the science education outreach non-profit the Young Scientist Program, where she implemented the first robotics programming for the organization, among other initiatives. Stephanie joined the AAAS Fellowship aiming to address the intersection between social equity and STEM education. Within CISE, she has been involved in the National Computer Science for All initiative, STEM+C, as well as the Broadening Participation in Computing Alliances. Additional contributions to broadening participation include support of the NSF-wide INCLUDES initiative and service as Executive Secretary of Federal Coordination in STEM (FC-STEM) Broadening Participation Interagency Working Group (BPIWG).
