Create Tech
Create Tech
Program Overview
Summary
Create Tech is a 2-week summer program in which students will learn the basics of Python and learn how to apply this language to wearable technology. Students will spend the week with current computer science students to explore the field. Students will have lab visits and field trips. Students with previous computing experience should explore one of our other camps as this is created to be an introduction to computing.
*Technical experience is not required.
Goals
To introduce middle and high school students to Python and other areas of computing through the application of wearable technology. Participants will be introduced to the computing majors available at the University of Maryland and they will be exposed to various topics in the field through the support of dedicated current computer science students.
